The Panjiia Company Cooperatives
Cooperative Definition: involving mutual assistance in working towards a common goal. A farm, business, or other organization which is owned and run jointly by its members, who share the profits or benefits.
Panjiia welcomes and encourages farmers to join us in forming the cooperative of farmers, we believe smallholder farmers are the spine of the Zambian economy however as individuals there’s a lack of bargaining power, economies of scale, buying power, resources and influence, as a cooperative we unify under one company with a common goal to improve quality, sustainability, growth and profits.

We believe that small hold farmers are key to bringing income into the country with the right amount of capital and intellectual investment. Working side by side with farmers we aim to make this dream come true. With a combination of British Business Engineering and Zambian heart the company can become something bigger.

Strategy
Investment is key for this project to come to life in order to achieve maximum success. We hope to receive investment from private individuals to help us establish this project and some public support from government based funding as we seek to be recognized as a social enterprise
Social Enterprise Definition:

In the western province of Zambia lies a small village named _ in this small village my great grand mother holds a small farm which is uses to support her family and the community surrounding her. For years they have been growing there produce locally ad selling it to local folk in order to survive. Due to the lack of resources the community is underserved with a small clinic which has its resources stretched and school which requires the youngsters of the community to walk miles just to receive education. I visited my great grandmother after graduating university and taking some time out to spend with the family showed me a way in which I could use the knowledge I had gained to better the lives of those living in this small community.
With the right investment, management and direction the Kalulu Farm project could bring very much needed investment into this little villages local economy.
The Kalulu Farm project will aim to help the local economy by helping the family use their land to produce in demand crops such as maize, soya, sun flower, nuts, garlic, onions and sweet potato which are to be exported to the Asian, Middle Eastern, European and American Markets. The profits gained from this venture are to be reinvested into the local economy to boost health, education, transport, infrastructure, electricity and the water quality.
